Yeah I have pictures again!!!

I haven't been able to put any pictures on my blog for so long. I just got my computer back from the "hospital" so I'm posting all the stuff I missed. This is a Court of Honor in July

Landen getting his Star Rank. I'm not quite sure what that means, but I think he only has Life to do and then he can work on his Eagle project. So far there hasn't been a Tenney who has earned his Eagle. So it's a race with Eric's son Aaron who is 16 Kevin's son Ammon who is 14 and Landen who is 12. They all are very close.

These are the cookie flowers I made for a girl I work for who is getting married tomorrow. We had her bridal shower at my house on the 2nd of August. Congrats Aimee.

It's a good thing I don't have pictures

Sorry I've had a real sucky day, or shall I rephrase and say late afternoon and evening. I don't have a long list of readers on my blog, so I don't want any of them thinking I'm speaking to them, more that I've just got to blow off steam.

I am so so so so so so sick of parents who think THEIR children can do no wrong. I willing to work on any issues my children can drag up, but it would be real nice if other parents acknowledge their own children's hands in the cookie jar as well. One such issue has come up and I was willing to talk it over with the two parties that were involved, but the other parent has no time to ask her son his part, so in my mind, case closed. I figure if they aren't willing to speak to both, face to face at the same time, then I don't have that kind of time either and I hope they can figure it out for themselves. It just really peeves me that because they decide to bring it up at very inopportune moment, my night was shot.
To them I say Thanks ever so much.....NOT.

Aghghg This is Killing Me....

O.k. O.k. O.k. You know you are living in the 21st century when.......

You can't get your pictures off of your smart card reader in your camera!!!!

Ahh computers, you can't live without them any more, or you are seriously crippled. And right now I feel like a paraplegic. Somehow the drives for my smart card readers on my computer were deleted. I think I know how it happened, but I don't know how to fix it and until then I can't put any of the pictures up that I've taken in the last few days.
Pictures like the 1st day of school, and the most gorgeous sunset the other night, and Landen's toe that we're pretty sure he didn't break, but looks very gross. And the pictures of the cookies that took me 2 days to make for the Bridal Shower I hosted for a friend.
If it weren't for the fact that my friends posted pictures for me, I would have nothing. The pictures from the Breaking Dawn sale at mid-night, I stole from someone eles blog.
I will put this other fun little cartoon I stole from Carmen's blog cause it about captures how life is for us right now. So I might have to pull all the little wires out of my computer and put them all back together again, and if you have ever had to do that before, you know how NOT simple that is, so I can join the blogging world again. I just hope it will solve my problem. If any of you have an answer for me please let me know. I hate not having all the parts working on my computer.
This one works as well too.

I'm done!!!!!

I have officially finished, well Sunday night at 10pm, finished reading the last book. (That was after I hosted a Bridal shower too mind you) Kirk reminded me that night that I didn't eat anything all day, well, it was Fast Sunday, and then I just forgot, I had to finish the dang book.

And if I were to rate them Twilight gets 10 stars, New Moon 3 at the beginning and then 6 at the end. Eclipse was actually my favorite so it gets 10 1/2 stars. Breaking Dawn, hmmmmm 4. It was o.k. but there are still a lot of unanswered questions. I don't think she wrapped it up very well and I think she was just trying to make everyone happy at the end and just threw all her rules out the window to accomplish that. But don't let my review bias you in anyway, it's still an entertaining read.

Here are some pictures of me at Kirk's store Friday night at mid-night as we opened it up to sell to some very anxious women and a couple of men. I have to say it made me feel better about my obsession for the book to be around people who were worse than me about it. I know that's hard to believe but very true.

Fabulous Party at the Waltons' House

The Ladies

The Gentlemen

The Mafia Master

We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Waltons' home this evening. We enjoyed playing Mafia, being served delicious refreshments and spending time with several of our treasured, intelligent, beautiful, and talented friends. We are so lucky that the Waltons have chosen us to be their friends because they are just awesome and when we grow up we hope to be just like them in every little way. They were great hosts and we hope they invite us over every single day because we think they are so cool! And we love how well-mannered their children are. They didn't even pop downstairs one time to mooch treats from the grown-ups. They just stayed upstairs and quietly read classic books and meditated. Oh, what a wonderful night....

(Susette, you can feel free to modify this sarcastic post! I just wanted to post the pictures for you! ~Pam)

Fireworks Shmireworks

This year, since the normal place we go for fireworks had cancelled their show, we decided to just stay in. Not really wanting to be out in the heat, especially since it looked like most shows would be cancelled on the count of the weather,
and getting stuck in traffic, and not really knowing where else to go anyway
. I was worried about how the kids would handle not going, but as soon as we mentioned that we would play "Bears in the the night" the fireworks were forgotten. If you haven't played this game I highly recommend it. It's a twist on hide and go seek. The twist being that you do it in total darkness. You hand out cards and one card has a bear on it, that person is it, only they don't tell anyone they are the bear. We turn off all the lights and everyone hides, even the bear. You can find a lot more hiding places in the dark. After the bear hides and counts to 100, then they come out roaring and looking for everyone else. When they find someone, that person also becomes a bear and now there are two. The game continues until everyone is found. Sometimes it takes quite a while to fine everyone cause in a dark house you can just stand in the corner of a room and people walk right by you. We also played some bear hunting music, came with the game. It's a little creepy sometimes, but if my little nieces can play and have a blast in a dark house, I think anyone could.
Kirk then pulls out the glow sticks and everyone goes crazy putting together bracelets and necklaces. We start taking pictures and start fiddling with the settings until we came up with the perfect one that would capture
the light of the sticks. We had so much fun seeing how the pictures would come out. And as you can see the result looked a lot like fireworks themselves. Ty was the camera man and every two seconds someone was begging him to take their picture cause they thought of something even better to do with the neon than the last person.
